So, I finished a draft. It’s a rough draft that still needs a lot of work, but it’s a draft.
I’m going to have a casual reading at my apartment very soon so I can hear it out loud. I might have a larger reading soon after that, once I can do revisions, and invite people to come and take a listen – so stay tuned!
Once I feel a little better about the script, I will be actively looking for a director – I really feel like I SHOULD NOT direct this script if it’s going to be any good at all. I’m beginning to gather designers (or at least prospects) and fundraising is up and running!
For those of you who don’t know, I am holding a walk-a-thon on June 12, 2010 to raise money for the production of “99 Impossible Things”! All donations are tax deductible! If you would like to walk and gather sponsors OR would like to sponsor me, please let me know! It’s going to be a lot of fun – I’ll make sure of it.
I also have a couple larger fundraisers, and a few smaller ones in the works, which I will announce soon!
I have also decided that I would like to give 11% of my ticket proceeds (that’s about $2 a ticket) to City of Hope. I’m waiting to hear back from them, but once it’s all finalized, we’ll be good to go!
So basically…a lot of things are “in the works.” But it’s still early in the process.
I want this to be a really fun, great show, so if anyone is interesting in helping in any capacity, please let me know!
